It is a well-known fact that Scabal is a manufacturer of prestigious fabrics for men and offers a wide variety of qualities and designs. Customers can make their selection from among thousands of fabrics and numerous designs and details. Luxury quality and finishes, with a personal touch; this is what drives Scabal.
Scabal is taking personalisation just one step further. As of now, there is the possibility of weaving a name or a message into the fabric. This new collection has very appropriately been named “Private Line”. In this very elegant way, Scabal is implementing the general trend for increased personalisation.

Your Personal Fabric

“Private Line” is a collection of fabrics into which the name of the customer is woven. The letters of the name feature one above the other and thus form a discrete line. Instead of a name, it is also possible to weave a text into the fabric, for example for a personal motto, a message of love, the name of a company or club, or even a poem. Or perhaps a wedding date or a date of birth, a case of never ever forgetting anniversaries or birthdays again. This enables a customer to have a joke in a banker’s suit, which normally stands for something serious
and business-like. For example, he could order the following sentence to be woven into the fabric: “If you can read this, you are standing far too close”. Briefly speaking, by the tone and the content of the message, you will see the human side of the businessman.

Thanks to new technology, it is now possible to weave complete sentences, and this in an uninterrupted line or with spacing. The customer has the choice of two types of font: Cyrillic or Roman. Numbers can also be incorporated. There is no limit as regards the length of the sentence, so your power of imagination or personalisation will know no bounds!

Private Line is produced using a mix of 98% wool and 2% cashmere; a Super 180’s with a weight of 260 gram per metre. A beautiful quality with a magnificent and comfortable feel, available in navy blue, slate grey or black.
The minimum length of 4.40 metre fabric is woven in the Scabal owned factory in Huddersfield (Great Britain) and has a width of one and a half metre, which is unique within this range. All orders are completed within 3-4 months.

From beginning of March 2006, the fabric can be ordered at exclusive sales outlets in the 65 countries where Scabal is present.
